Where your data goes

For every Småverk video tool at video.smaverk.com: Captions, Vertical, Clip finder, Clips and Operator. Maindesk, our service for AI agents at smaverk.com, has a privacy page of its own. Last updated 2026-10-27.

Your video

It stays on your device. The tools do their work inside the page, in your browser. Your video, its sound and the words in it are not sent to us or to anyone else. There is no account. Once a tool has loaded, you can turn off Wi-Fi and it still works.

Faces, in Operator

Operator finds the faces in the camera picture so it can film each person once. To tell the people in one recording apart, it turns each face into a short list of numbers inside the page. Those numbers are held in the page's memory only while that recording runs. They are not saved to a file and not sent to us or anyone else, and they are dropped when the recording stops or fails. In Who's talking it also measures how far each mouth is open, as numbers only, and drops them once the video is cut. We cannot see any of it, and we keep no record of who was filmed. The people you film should know they are being filmed.

What we do see

• Page visits. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts visits without cookies and does not follow you across sites. We see which page was opened, roughly where from, and which browser. We do not see who you are. Links between our pages carry a short tag, like ?src=studio, so we can count which page sent a visit. We also count, per day, how often a tool is opened, a file is picked, a result is saved or shared, and the support link is tapped. Beside each count we keep only the country and whether it came from a phone or a computer. There is no cookie, and nothing about you or your file.
• Files the tools load. The first time you use a tool, your browser downloads the files it needs to work on your device. In Vertical and Operator every one of those files comes from our own site. Captions, Clip finder and Clips still fetch the largest of them from public file hosts (content delivery networks). Those hosts see a request for a public file that anyone can download, as any web host does. Your video, its sound and your recording are not part of it and are not sent anywhere. Fonts come from our own site. Serving those last files from our own site too is work we have not done yet.
• If you support us. Every tool is free and asks for no key or account. If you choose to send a support payment, you do it on Polar's own page: Polar is our merchant of record and collects your email and card details there, under its own privacy policy, and tells us the amount and the email you gave. Nothing about the payment is kept in your browser, and none of it touches your video, your sound or your recording.
• Light or dark. If you pick light or dark, one small cookie remembers that choice across the tools. It holds nothing else.
• If you write to us at [email protected], we keep your email to answer you.

How we make money

Every tool is free. If one helps you, you can choose to pay what you like to support it, and that is the only money the tools take. Maindesk has plans of its own, under its own terms. The pages carry no ads and set no tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share data about you. There is little to share: your videos stay with you, and we keep no list of who used the tools.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you and have it deleted. Write to [email protected]. For payment data, Polar answers as the merchant of record.
