Each tool has a free version and a paid version. The free version handles clips up to 60 seconds and saves them with a small smaverk.com mark in the corner. The paid version removes the mark and handles clips up to five minutes. You pay once per tool; the price is on that tool's page. Each tool is its own purchase with its own key.
Paying once buys a key for the paid version of that tool, as the tool is offered. It is a licence to use the tool, not a share in it. It is not a promise that the tool will be offered, or stay the same, for any set length of time. If we stop offering a tool, we say so on its page at least 30 days before.
You buy through Polar Software, Inc., our merchant of record. Polar takes the payment, adds the right tax for your country, sends the receipt, and is the seller on your statement. Polar's buyer terms apply to the purchase. Småverk makes the tools and gives support.
In the first 14 days after you pay, you can ask for your money back, no questions asked. Write to [email protected] from the email you paid with, and the full amount is refunded through Polar. After a refund the key stops working. We do this once per person, per tool.
The paid version starts working the moment you pay, and you agree to that when you buy. In the EU that agreement normally ends the 14-day right to withdraw, so the 14 days above are given in its place and are the same length. After them we do not refund, unless the law of your country gives you a right we cannot set aside.
The tools are provided as they are. Beyond what is written on this page, and as far as the law allows, we make no promise that they are free of faults, fit a particular purpose, give a particular result, or are available without breaks.
We may change, improve, limit or remove features, change prices for new buyers, and stop offering a tool. If a change we make stops a paid feature from working for you, write to us and we will try to put it right within a reasonable time. We owe nothing more for a change, except what the law of your country requires. The 30 days' notice above applies to stopping a tool.
One key per purchase, for your own use on up to three of your own devices. Do not share, publish, resell or rent it. We may switch off a key that was shared, published, refunded or charged back. If your key leaks by accident, write to us and we replace it once.
Your clips are yours. They stay on your device, and we get no rights in them. You may use what you make for your own work, paid or not. You are responsible for your clips: that you have the right to use what is in them, for what you make from them, and for where you post it. Do not use the tools to break the law or someone else's rights. Do not copy, resell or take apart the tools, or try to get around the limits or the key. The tools, the name Småverk and these sites belong to us.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost income, lost views, lost clips or data, missed deadlines, or any indirect loss. The most we can owe you in total for a tool is what you paid for it. For the free version that is nothing. None of this limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as for harm caused on purpose or by gross carelessness.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the consumer law of your country gives you and that cannot be set aside by agreement. Where such a right applies, it applies; everything else on this page still stands.
Swedish law applies to these terms. Disputes go to the courts of Sweden. If you are a consumer in the EU you also keep the protection of your own country's law and may use the courts where you live. Write to us first: most things are solved by one email.
We may update this page; the date at the top shows the latest version. The terms in force on the day you bought apply to that purchase. If part of these terms cannot be applied, the rest still stands.
